Privacy Policy
What personal information ShriRamJanmabhumi.com collects through its forms, how it is used, who sees it, cookies and analytics, and how to have it removed.
Summary
You can read every page of this website without giving us any personal information. We collect personal details only when you choose to send them through a form, and we use them only to respond to that request.
What we collect and why
- Guided tour requests, contact messages, advertising enquiries and listing enquiries. Your name, mobile number, email address if you give one, and the details you type, such as travel date and group size. We use these to contact you about your request and to arrange the service you asked for.
- Business listing submissions. The business details you submit are published in the directory after review. The submitter's own name and phone number are kept for verification and are not published unless you give the same number as the public business phone.
- Enquiries to a listed business. When you send an enquiry from a listing page, we receive it and may pass your name, number and message to that business so that it can reply.
What we record automatically
- A session cookie, needed for forms and security, which is deleted when you close your browser.
- A one-way scrambled form of your network address, kept for a short time to stop spam and repeated automated submissions. It cannot be turned back into your address by us.
- Anonymous counts of how many times an advertisement was shown and clicked.
- Standard server logs kept by our hosting provider.
Analytics and advertising
If we use Google Analytics to understand which pages are read, or Google AdSense to show advertisements, those services may set their own cookies and process data under Google's privacy policy. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Who sees your information
Our own team; the guide, business or advertiser relevant to your request, only as far as needed to respond; our hosting provider; and the authorities if the law requires it. We do not sell personal information and we do not send marketing messages to numbers collected through these forms.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with them and for reasonable record-keeping afterwards, and are then deleted.
Your choices
You may ask us at any time to show you, correct or delete the personal information you have sent us, or to remove or change a listing. Write to us through the contact page, mentioning the phone number you used.
Children
Our forms are meant for adults. If a child has sent us personal details, a parent or guardian can ask us to delete them.
Changes
We will update this page if our practices change; the date of the last update is shown below. See also the Disclaimer and Terms.
