No donations, no passes
We do not accept donations for any temple and we do not sell or issue darshan, aarti or any other pass. Darshan at temples in Ayodhya is free. Anyone asking for money in our name for these purposes is not acting for us.
Religious and historical content
The stories on this site are retold from the Ramayana tradition, principally the Valmiki Ramayana and the Ramcharitmanas, and from long-held local belief. Different texts and communities tell some episodes differently, and we have tried to say so where it matters. Statements beginning "tradition holds" or "it is believed" describe faith and custom and are not presented as established history. Nothing here is intended to hurt the sentiments of any person or community.

Confirm what matters to you with the temple, the district administration, the railway, the airline or the service provider before you travel. We accept no liability for loss or inconvenience arising from reliance on this information.
Helpline numbers
We publish national and state helpline numbers after checking them, but numbers can be changed by the authorities. In any emergency in India, dial 112.
Directory listings and advertisements
Listings are submitted by business owners and reviewed by us before publication. "Verified" means we have checked the phone number and address; it is not a guarantee of quality, price, safety or availability. "Featured" and "Sponsored" items are paid placements. Any dealing between you and a business is solely between the two of you. Please do not pay advances to unverified numbers, and tell us through the contact page about any listing that is wrong or misleading.
Guided tour requests
When you request a guided tour, we pass your request to our team and to local guides. Charges, timings and services are agreed directly with you before anything is confirmed.
